Training Day

We recently hosted the third of our training days. This time as well as going over the standard sports lifts we looked at special assistance drills that aim to target and improve specific weak points in the lifts.

The new and less experienced lifters in the group worked on technique in jerk, snatch and long cycle while the more experienced lifters had their technique analysed by Scott & Abi in order to identify the main areas where they could work to see an improvement in the overall lift. Assistance drills were then introduced to halp areas such as grip endurance, snatch pull, explosiveness of the jerk etc.

The training day was preceded by the International Friendship Tournament Stage 2 (Long Cycle) with 7 of the team competing!
